  • Defined Skillset / Level: Data Management Specialist
  • Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years
  • FTE: 1 -  12 month contract (Covering Maternity Leave: July 2026 to April 2027)
  • Security Clearance: NV1 (min)
  • Working Arrangement (Remote, Onsite, Hybrid): Hybrid, min 3 days onsite per week.

POSITION OVERVIEW

This role is responsible for managing technical information, data governance, and document control processes supporting the AH-64 Apache program. The Data Management Specialist will ensure data quality, compliance, and effective information management across engineering and operational functions. The position plays a key role in supporting a high priority Defence capability within a collaborative and integrated team environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage technical information, including storage, distribution, and sharing of data
  • Register and record all incoming technical information and reports
  • Maintain technical mailboxes, data libraries, and registers
  • Monitor data quality and compliance, providing guidance to engineering teams to resolve issues
  • Process specification and standards requests and orders
  • Maintain information record links between relevant systems
  • Support effective data governance and adherence to information management standards
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support platform operations

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum two years of experience in a data management or similar role
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management tools or electronic document management systems
  • Knowledge of data management standards and information protection requirements
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience working within a Defence or engineering environment
  • Australian Citizenship to meet Defence and ITAR requirements

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Experience working with Defence systems and tools
  • Exposure to technical data management within aviation or defence programs
  • Strong attention to detail and process improvement mindset
  • Ability to operate effectively in a high compliance environment
  • Understanding of integrated program environments and stakeholder coordination
