POSITION OVERVIEW
This role partners with business stakeholders to understand requirements and identify opportunities to deliver value through data and AI-enabled solutions. The position translates business needs into functional specifications, develops dashboards and AI-driven analytics products, and applies advanced analytics and machine learning to support decision-making within the Personal Banking domain. The role is focused on delivering actionable insights and shaping data solutions that influence business strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Partner with business stakeholders to understand use cases and identify opportunities for data-driven solutions.

Translate business requirements into functional specifications and documentation.

Develop and maintain dashboards and AI-driven analytics products providing actionable insights.
-
Identify and document business metrics, standardising data sources and definitions.

Apply advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to derive insights and build predictive models.

Support the delivery of data solutions addressing Personal Banking business problems.

Present analysis to stakeholders and influence decision-making through evidence-based insights.

Collaborate with analytics teams and leadership across the enterprise.

Ensure compliance with risk management and organisational policies.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and PySpark.

Experience with data visualisation tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.

Ability to understand financial services data, data models, and reporting metrics.
-
Experience in data pipeline design, handling various data types, and managing missing data.
-
Attention to detail, self-management, and strong problem-solving capabilities.

Excellent communication skills.
-
Over 3 years' experience as a business analyst in complex business settings.

Proven ability to analyse data and present it effectively to influence decision-making.

Bachelor degree in business, data analytics, computer science, statistics, or related discipline.
DESIRABLE SKILLS

Experience presenting insights to senior stakeholders.

Familiarity with personal banking domain and related product/channel strategies.

Experience strategically improving and optimising existing analytics work.

Ability to proactively manage risk and compliance within analytics projects.
