POSITION OVERVIEW

This role supports the engineering, configuration and lifecycle management of commercial off the shelf gateway and guard technologies within secure environments. You will work across product onboarding, baseline management, operational hardening and ongoing support, ensuring systems meet strict security and performance requirements.


ABOUT THE CLIENT

The client operates within a systems integration services environment, delivering secure and enterprise scale technology solutions. They support complex infrastructure programs across government and highly regulated sectors, with a strong focus on standardisation, automation and security.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the engineering, configuration and maintenance of gateway or guard technologies
  • Manage product baselines, version control and lifecycle updates for COTS components
  • Assess patches, updates and product changes in collaboration with infrastructure and security teams
  • Support testing, issue resolution, audit activities and operational requirements
  • Maintain accurate documentation including configuration records and support procedures
  • Contribute to vendor engagement and assist with technical issue resolution

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • 5 to 8 years’ experience in infrastructure, platform, gateway or security engineering roles
  • Experience working with COTS products in secure or highly regulated environments
  • Strong capability in configuration management, lifecycle tracking and documentation
  • Ability to work across engineering, operations and assurance teams
  • Relevant degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Current Australian Government Baseline security clearance

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • NV1 security clearance
  • Willingness and interest in obtaining NV2 clearance
  • Experience with gateway technologies and secure cross domain solutions
  • Exposure to operational hardening and patch assessment practices
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
