POSITION OVERVIEW
This role will support the LAND 8710 project, contributing to the development and delivery of Australia’s next-generation amphibious capability. The Logistics Support Analysis Engineer will be responsible for designing and analysing support systems to ensure platforms are reliable, maintainable, and sustainable across their lifecycle. The role plays a key part in enabling operational readiness in complex and remote environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) in line with relevant standards (e.g. ASD S3000L)
- Develop and maintain LSA data sets, records, and outputs
- Perform Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), including defining maintenance activities, frequencies, and resource requirements
- Develop maintenance concepts, including allocation of maintenance levels (organisational, intermediate, depot)
- Analyse system designs and engineering data to determine supportability requirements and constraints
- Conduct Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) to inform repair versus replacement decisions
- Identify support risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve sustainment outcomes
- Define support system requirements, including personnel, tools, equipment, and facilities
- Collaborate with Supply Support teams to ensure accurate spares provisioning and inventory planning
- Produce LSA reports, maintenance outputs, and support system documentation
- Contribute to engineering design reviews (e.g. SRR, PDR, CDR) to influence maintainability outcomes
- Support development of technical manuals and maintenance documentation
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including obsolescence and long lead-time items
- Provide technical advice to stakeholders and support continuous improvement initiatives
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or similar)
- Experience in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) or Supply Support Analysis
- Demonstrated experience conducting Logistics Support Analysis, including MTA and supportability assessments
- Experience working with LSA standards such as ASD S3000L or equivalent within Defence environments
- Proven experience supporting engineering design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR)
- Experience developing technical documentation, including maintenance plans and LSA reports
- Strong understanding of maintenance concepts, including preventative and corrective maintenance
- Experience conducting Level of Repair Analysis (LORA)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills, including technical reporting and stakeholder engagement
- Current NV1 security clearance

- Experience working on Defence maritime or amphibious capability programs
- Familiarity with complex sustainment environments and remote operations
- Strong understanding of supply support and inventory modelling
- Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams
